Women

God in His divine wisdom created women for a specific purpose. The Bible lists various women who lived as house wives, judges, helpers in the church, prophetesses, professionals and followers of Jesus Christ, who served Him till His death on the cross. He has a special place for them in His heart. His love is comparable (Is.66:13), yet much more extensive (Is. 49:15) than a mother's love. Women, single or married are precious in God's healing ministry to the family, the church and the society.

It is said that a man impacts a household but a woman impacts a generation! Christian women of today need to rise up to the need of the hour. The hand that rocks the cradle, rules the world, indeed! The world is full of sorrowing hearts pained by some natural catastrophe, a fatal illness, a loved one snatched away suddenly, rejection, loneliness and so on.

A woman possesses a gentle and tender heart that feels the agony of others. She places her trust in the Almighty God and reaches out to comfort and uplift the needy, whispering a prayer in her heart that the love of God will touch the world through her.

The work spot is the right mission field and so the home. The house of the Lord was beautified by committed women (Ex. 35:25) in the Old Testament. Today, the ministry of God needs the labour of love of women. Hurting women need Biblical counseling by elder women. If after His resurrection, Jesus Christ chose to appear first of all to women and to make them His first missionaries, He certainly has a plan for them to impact this generation.

Just as the women of the early church gathered their spiritual strength in prayer with each other , let us seek God's face and receive from Him to reach out to others. Godly women can change the world. May God bless and equip us to be a blessing to our generation.
